We were lucky enough to invite the families of our Ankermoor children to an adult Forest School session. This was a great opportunity to celebrate our Forest School areas and show our families what we do! The session started with a tour of our site. In the first area we have the fire circle, the classroom, the wood collection area and our mud kitchen. In the second area we have our tree climbing, den building area and rope swing. Following on from this, we looked at tools that the children use within sessions. Parents were shocked to see that they are full size and not blunted in any way! Finally, we moved back to the fire circle to use the Kelly Kettle to have a hot chocolate. We also toasted marshmallows to finish our session!
